Abstract
Looks at the relationship between the architectural and medical professions to see how the next wave of Government health policies can be best provided for. A good brief can bring beneficial effects to staff, patients and visitors of health care facilities. After reviewing the historical approach to primary health care and outlining key current and projected developments the matrix of relationships is revealed that influence the design of the new generation of frontline medical practices. The aim is to raise the quality of health buildings in the primary care sector.
