Abstract
The Phase 1 scope has covered two principal activities: collecting and reviewing data in support of RIDDOR, to help understand casual factors underlying construction accidents; and structuring the information on accident causation using an Influence Network to provide a basis for quantifying risk and the benefits of improvement measures. The report concentrates on falls from height as the principal source of construction fatalities.
