Abstract
Discusses the issues in modelling the behaviour of travellers in a period of traffic restraint, which can result from increased congestion or through policies aimed at travel demand management. Looks at various modelling issues such as ‘time of day’ modelling, trip chaining and the effects of increased information provision and use.
