Abstract

Covers the first stage of work to assess mechanical retexturing techniques for roads. There are three main methods of retexturing investigated by this report: impact, cutting and fluid action, which are covered by the work of five UK contractors using bush hammering, scabbling and flailing, grinding and water jetting.
