Abstract

Guidance sets the technical context by dealing with definitions and the overall approach to the methodology for appraisal; discusses the criteria which are to be used in the appraisal process; looks at the different stages and components of the appraisal; examines the importance of monitoring and evaluation of RPG and links the criteria to be used for monitoring with the criteria used for undertaking the appraisal; looks at how RPG's can go about the task of meeting the requirement to undertake an appraisal; and provides advice on baseline studies.
