Abstract

Quantifying the natural resources used, and wastes produced, in the built environment sector, this report presents an overview of resource flows through the industry, considers future trends and influences, and recommends how resource productivity might be improved.

First Published 2002; revised 2003. Viridis are a part of the Transport Research Foundation and a sister company to TRL, who publish documents on their behalf. Funded by Biffaward under the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme, with contributions from Atkins, Highways Agency and Laing.
