Abstract
Intended to be a reference guide for any individual charged with environmental protection of petrol filling stations. It outlines the minimum standards to meet the EU directive 80/68/EEC and UK groundwater regulations. The guidelines concentrate on the practical means of minimising the potential impact of motor fuels where they are stored and dispensed to the public at petrol filling stations to soil, groundwater, surface waters and local air quality.
