Abstract

Describes an experiment to investigate damage caused to buildings by traffic induced vibrations. A vacant property founded on loose to medium dense sand was subjected to ground and air borne vibrations. The dynamic response of the structure was monitored using a computer controlled data collection and analysis system. The report describes the experimental work, and results, in detail.
