Abstract
Specifies requirements for zinc coated steel wire, used in the construction of fences, including those conforming to BS 1722 for the following applications: wire for cleft chestnut pale fencing; general purpose line wire; general purpose stirrup wire; general purpose tying wire; and organic coated wire for strained wire dropper fencing. Covers: materials; wire diameter and tolerances; coatings; tensile strength; inspection and testing; and marking.
