Abstract
Looks at how sustainability in construction procurement can be achieved and the need to meet the Government procurement policy of value for money. To achieve this a framework using 10 themes for action has been devised covering: re-use of existing built assets, designing to minimise waste, lean construction, minimising energy in construction, minimising energy in use, pollution, bio-diversity, water resources, people and the environment and the need to set targets.
