Abstract
Explains the procedures involved in making an appeal under section 78 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. It explains the process which follows a planning proposal being rejected or queried. It describes the written procedure, the hearing procedure and the inquiry procedure. Most of the advice applies equally to listed building or conservation area consent appeals made under Section 20 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
