Working with the grain of nature - a biodiversity strategy for England

Publication Year

2002

Document Status

Withdrawn

Abstract

The Biodiversity Strategy for England is looking to ensure that biodiversity considerations become embedded in all the main sectors of economic activity, public and private. The Strategy also sets out a programme for the next five years for the other main policy sectors, to make the changes necessary to conserve, enhance and work with the grain of nature and ecosystems rather than against them. It also takes account of climate change as one of the most important factors affecting biodiversity and influencing our policies.
