Abstract

Details the campaign of the WWF to challenge the UK Government and the UK's devolved assemblies to commit themselves to develop one million sustainable homes by 2012. It discusses why sustainable housing is important, the current impact of house-building on the environment and the development of best practice, the barriers to sustainability. It also presents six strategies to mainstream sustainable homes.
