Abstract
Provides good practice guidance on the environmental appraisal of aggregates provision. It also provides details and an explanation of a methodology for the appraisal and how it may be applied. The guidance is the simple expression of a complex series of processes and approaches to the provision of aggregates at a regional and a sub regional level. It relates policy to scenarios for apportionment, created prior to the environmental appraisal, identifying potential environmental constraints and costs, and indicates possible solutions.
