Abstract

Railways are hostile environments. Not only are there the normal problems associated with construction, there are hazards of trains moving in close proximity, at speed. There could also be electrified overhead cables and fourth rails. Aims to contribute to working safely on railways, though it is recommended that Railtrack is contacted for full detailed information relating to the individual projects.
