Abstract
The handbook contains extracts from those standards contained in the December 2000 version of the NRA Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (NRA DMRB), that relate to the geometric design of roads. Based upon standard NRA TD 41/95 with NRA addendum, which sets out requirements to be met in providing and improving access to an all purpose national road, including geometric and visibility standards. It reviews the traffic and safety implications and stresses the need for only the minimum number of well engineered connections in safe positions.
