Abstract
Applies to the construction of pipelines to convey water with or without pressure for installation below or above ground. Specifies associated test methods, and requirements for materials, dimensions and tolerances, mechanical properties and standard coatings. Provides performance requirements for all components. Intended for pipes, fittings and accessories which are manufactured with socketed, flanged or spigot ends for jointing by gaskets, normally delivered externally and internally coated, and suitable for fluid temperatures between 0 and 50°C, excluding frost.
