Abstract

Provides guidance on the design and implementation of a monitoring programme which would allow an accurate assessment of the impact of a landfill on the surrounding environment. Outlines minimum requirements on the location of monitoring points, frequency of monitoring and on the parameters to be analysed. Also includes information on the quality assurance and quality control procedures to be followed to ensure the validity and reliability of the data.
