Abstract

Covers the results of four tests carried out in the UK, to examine the containment limits of a sand filled barrier when impacted by British vehicles. Considers a barrier consisting of 1m high sheet metal bins, 3.2m long overall, height 1.2m, joined end to end resting on hard level ground and filled with sand.
