Abstract
Sets out a number of specific proposals for changes to the Town and country planning (Scotland) act 1997 and the Town and country planning (tree preservation order and trees in conservation areas) (Scotland) regulations 1975 to improve the effectiveness of TPOs and simplify the system. Also invites comments on whether the Forestry Commission should be made a statutory consultee for planning applications that involve significant amounts of felling.
