Abstract
Describes the initiatives and events that have led to the current drive to improve health services for children and young people. Outlines the key messages from visits to hospitals, strategies for planning and designing facilities, and key principles for children's services. Considers the main findings from Government research into the views of children, young people and their parents regarding the built environment.
