Abstract
Gives the main findings of a DTI funded project to determine the suitability of bioremediation and composting techniques for diverting construction and demolition waste (CDW) from landfill. It describes the results of trials using different timber products from CDW and the recommendations that have been drawn from them. It addresses various economic, performance and environmental benefits along with the costs and regulatory considerations.
