Abstract

Has been prepared to assist in the implementation of the regional development strategy. It will guide the integration of transportation and land use, particularly through the preparation of development plans and transport plans.

Document History

Will be cancelled by Strategic planning policy statement for Northern Ireland (SPPS) - planning for sustainable development (DOENI, 2015) when all eleven councils have adopted a new Plan Strategy for the whole of their council area. Supersedes PPS 13 (consultation): Transportation and land use (DRDNI, 2005). To be read with PPS 3: Access, movement and parking (Planning Service, 2005); Parking standards (Planning Service, 2005) and Transport assessment - guidelines for development proposals in Northern Ireland (DENIPS, 2006). The Department of Environment assumed responsibility for this Planning Policy Statement (PPS) from the Department for Regional Development on 15 January 2008.
