Abstract
Specifies requirements for construction and methods of test for armoured cables with PVC insulation of rated voltages 600/1,000V and 1,900/3,300V for use in fixed installations in industrial areas, buildings and similar applications.

Related to but not equivalent to IEC 60502-1:1998. Supersedes BS 6346:1989. The provisions introduced by amendment No.1:2004 are effective from 1st April 2004.
