Abstract
Sets out the procurement process which should be followed for schemes under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) in the NHS. It sets out the procedures from first approaching the marketplace prior to formally advertising a scheme through to selecting bidders and on to financial close and monitoring contract implementation. The practical guidance in this section covers: the main steps involved from placing an advertisement to the evaluation of bids, structuring the procurement process and defining the requirements of the NHS.
