Abstract
Issues that should be considered when designing for the part-erected condition. Applies to steel-framed buildings up to ten storeys. Additional consideration may be needed for specially-rigged complex lifts, tall structures and sites expecting extreme weather conditions. These sites would benefit from a study of the effects of wind on erection tasks.
