Presents data for the latest available year for 19 key environment statistics. In many cases, some comparisons with earlier years are also included. The statistics cover: land use; environmentally protected areas; agri-environment schemes; rainfall; temperature; global atmosphere: greenhouse gases; global atmosphere: carbon dioxide emissions; air quality in urban areas; air quality in rural areas; chemical river water quality; chemical river water quality by unitary authority; biological river water quality; biological river water quality by unitary authority; bathing water quality; drinking water quality; waste and recycling; waste and recycling by unitary authority; wildlife: bird populations; and forestry.
