Abstract
Partnering in construction repairs involves the property owning client working closely with a team of partners to deliver a construction repair project, which may enable a reduction in response times by simplifying the client’s administrative process stages. The guidance in this publication is aimed at those involved with responsive maintenance and those wishing to implement partnering; considers value for money in public procurement; sets out current European procurement regulations and UK procurement rules which form the context of the contractual arrangements; considers the application of existing forms of partnering contract to responsive maintenance; addresses the issues characteristic of responsive maintenance; and provides case study descriptions of successful client and supplier relationships in action.
