Abstract
The proposed amendment to the Directive is intended to clarify the provisions relating to the financing of historical waste from non-household sources. The WEEE Directive is a producer responsibility directive aimed at the recovery and recycling of separately collected waste electrical and electronic equipment, with producers (manufacturers and importers) bearing most of the costs of the end of life collection, treatment and recycling of equipment.
