National land use database: land use and land cover classification

Abstract
Presents the new database classification of land use and land cover (version 4.4). The aim of the classification is to establish a national system (or nomenclature) for naming and defining groups of land use and land cover features. It has been designed to serve as a standard classification available for adoption by bodies involved in routine collection of land use and land cover data.
