Abstract
Presents proposals to amend the Appointed Persons Regulations so that jurisdiction to determine Grade I and Grade II listed building consent and enforcement notice appeals is transferred to planning inspectors. The Government considers that this change will help to speed up one area of the planning system, giving greater certainty to local authorities, developers and owners of listed buildings, but without putting at risk buildings that are an important part of our national heritage.
