Abstract
Presents findings which show what local authorities and Government offices have achieved so far in implementing Local development schemes. These are a new tool for local planning introduced by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase act (2004) with the aim of ensuring that the preparation of local development frameworks is well managed. The report also provides practice pointers for local authorities and others to consider when revising and using local development schemes in the future.
