Abstract
Flowing fluids in heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems transfer heat and mass. This chapter introduces the basics of fluid mechanics that are related to HVAC processes, reviews pertinent flow processes, and presents a general discussion of single-phase fluid flow analysis.
