Abstract
The Government is proposing to introduce a new general Regulation into the Building Regulations, which will apply to non-domestic properties. This report summarises the responses of the consultation. The consultation sought to determine views on whether the functional requirements of B3 Internal fire spread (structure) needed to be changed. Recent research suggested that the topics of fire safety management, residential sprinklers and means of escape for disabled people should also be taken into account.
