Abstract

Cavi-Mate and Cavi-Mate Fire Stop have been assessed with respect to Building Regulations current at time of issue to confirm their suitability for use as cavity closers to provide a damp-proof barrier and thermal insulation around openings for windows or doorsets in masonry external cavity walls. Cavi-Mate is a composite comprising a PVC-U extrusion profile and infill of polystyrene foam. The Fire Stop differs in having an infill of rock mineral wool insulation.
