Abstract
Gives recommendations for the management, staffing and operation for the provision of contracted security consultancy services. Additionally, this code might assist those who wish to contract the services of a security consultant.

Superseded by BS 8549:2016. Came into effect 30 November 2006. This British Standard is based on PAS 49:2002, which is withdrawn. PAS 49 was drafted in conjunction with the Association of Security Consultants to provide an interim code of practice.
