Abstract
Describes the basis of the Simplified Building Energy Model, the input information it requires and from where this is derived, and which energy consumption issues are included in the calculation. Explains the roles of the calculation module, iSBEM (the user interface), and BRUKL (the compliance checking module). Considers how SBEM may be used for applications in addition to its core function of performing the carbon dioxide component of Building Regulations compliance checks for new buildings.
