Abstract

Intended to enable designers to take a creative approach in responding to the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, Part M of the Building Regulations and the provisions of Approved Document Part M, in part through explaining the reasons behind guidance. Summarises the legislation and its requirements, relevant Approved Documents, the process and procedures for designing to meet the needs of disabled people, and guidance on good practice. Arranged according to the RIBA Plan of Work.
