Abstract
Addresses patient comfort and the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections. Looks at the methods of controlling the casual exposure of staff to anaesthetic substances. Outlines the design and acceptance testing of general and ultra-clean ventilation (UCV) systems. Sets out the minimum requirements for the design of air-handling units with regard to the control of Legionella and safe access for routine inspection and maintenance. Offers guidance on legal requirements.
