Abstract
Estimates the environmental impacts related to the construction, installation, maintenance and disposal of typical micro-wind turbine systems. Includes the development of a method for estimating the wind resource in urban environments, used to estimate the wind resource at locations around three towns. Provides a wind tunnel study to investigate the effect of the house on which the turbine is mounted on the wind speed of the turbines. Estimates the expected annual electricity generation for typical installations.
