Sets out the assessment process and the performance standards required for the Code for Sustainable Homes. Covers elements of the code that will not change over time unless they are subject to consultation.

Applies in Wales only as the Code for Sustainable Homes has been withdrawn by the DCLG in England. The Code for Sustainable Homes was launched in December 2006 with the publication of ‘Code for Sustainable Homes: a step change in sustainable home building practice' (DCLG) (since withdrawn) and came into effect April 2007.
