Abstract
Concerns the content and format of the guidance only, not the principle or detail of site waste management plans themselves. Explains the purpose behind the plans, the legal duty to write and implement them and how, by completing one, construction project costs can be significantly cut. Demonstrates that through addressing materials resource efficiency at the earliest stage in the design process savings can be maximised and construction made more sustainable.
