Abstract

To calculate the annual energy needs for space heating and cooling of a room in a building, the calculations are done with a time step of one hour or less. Takes into account, external surface heat balance, conduction through building envelope, thermal capacities of external and internal structures, internal surface heat balance, air heat balance and heat balance solution methods.
