Abstract
Comprises letter to Chief Planning Officers at local authorities to circulate a new set of model planning conditions intended for use during the development on land affected by contamination.

Replaces appendix 2B of annex 2 of Planning policy statement 23: planning and pollution control (ODPM, 2004) and also replaces paragraphs 56 to 59 of appendix A of DOE Circular 11/95: Use of conditions in planning permission (DOE, 1995). Superseded by National planning policy framework (DCLG, 2012).
