Abstract
Addresses issues relating to the effect of ceiling penetrations on the fire resistance of timber separating floor constructions in residential buildings. Advises on the more common situations and solutions that may need to be considered when gauging the effect of services that penetrate ceilings, such as downlighters, ceiling speakers and sprinklers.
