Abstract
Presents statistics based on the Urban Settlements boundaries (England and Wales, 2001) data. These boundaries and the statistics based upon them are collected every ten years following a national census. The statistics provide the total area of Developed Land and Urban Area (developed land with a population of more than 10,000) for each local authority in England. Also included are areas and population for each individual settlement in England and Wales.
