Abstract
Looks at the lessons learnt from four houses designed and constructed to comply with the Code for Sustainable Homes. Focuses on the architecture of the dwellings, including their roofs, balconies, paving and internal environment, construction and material sourcing. Also addresses sound insulation, specification of low-energy-rated items, external durability and compliance to Secured By Design. Covers documentation and construction as well as method of construction. Considers credits available through all approaches.
