Abstract

Addresses calculation rules derived from normal weight concrete which apply to the practical design of concrete floor slabs acting compositely with profiled sheet when exposed to a standard fire. Presents criteria for fire resistance and describes behaviour of the slabs when exposed to fire. Suggests supplementary means of fire resistance and provides calculation rules for minimum slab thickness and additional reinforcement.
