Abstract
Describes the crosswall construction process and details the benefits of using this modern method of construction (MMC). Includes 5 case studies ranging from a mixed-use development scheme in Dublin (speed of construction and labour saving), redevelopment of residential building in Birmingham (Part E performance, sound transmission benefits, cost, quality and value assessments), student accommodation at a University in Bristol (prefabrication, rapid installation of off-site production components), hotel development in Wembley (delivery to tight programme, on time and within budgets) and residential development in Dublin (speed of construction, cost savings, safety and not needing to use scaffolding).
