Abstract

Details the required qualifications supervisors and trained operatives need and also introduce a reassessment requirement every five years to confirm competency prior to re-registration, when undertaking street works. Also adds to the list of qualification types to include new signing, lighting and guarding qualifications. Allows recognition of foreign professional qualification equivalents as required by European Directive 2005/36/EC. The statutory instrument applies to England only.
